Great for heat shrink, solder seals or cleaning up minor strings off of prints. just be careful - they stay hot a long time after turning off. I own this model and Im happy with it. 3 speeds. Hot, hotter, and the fires of Hell itself.
Click HERE to purchaseA assortment of different sizes and colors of heat shrink for solder joints, wire bundles, etc. works well, just dont drop the case on the floor... ask me how I know.
Click HERE to purchaseMy daily use workhorse electric screwdriver - great for assembly or disassembly of printers, good torque, three settings. A must have for larger bolts/assembling many machines '
Click HERE to purchaseGoes with the power screwdriver - a decent set of long drivers. Part of my tool collection
Click HERE to purchaseThe wowstick isnt exactly wow, but youll have every bit you need. I use this mostly for board removal, installation and hot end work. It doesnt have the torque of the other driver, its for more delicate parts and smaller screws. Still a great addition to your workbench, a real time saver.
Click HERE to purchasethe nozzle wrenches alone are worth this kit! they are really great for removing a nozzle while hot and storing it while it cools. highly recommended
Click HERE to purchaseI own this set and like it. You can get far cheaper ones, but they tend to be plastic, or only display one decimal point (example 4.1). For true calibration tests you often need 2 places (4.14) and these do it.
Click HERE to purchaseMachinist rulers, same ones I have. If your machine has been in my repair shop, chances are these were used on it. I use them to measure distances when leveling a gantry or calibrating a extruder. They are great because the low end edge is the start of the measurement, so when you butt it against something, you get a exact height. great for designing things in CAD programs too.
Click HERE to purchaseInvaluable for repairs and mods! They come in many sizes - I sgguest white, red and green for most printer applications. just slide it over one of the wires, twist the wires together, position it so the solder is over the wire twist, and heat it with a heat gun. Watch the solder melt and seal the wires, and the plastic seals the connection from the elements with glue in the ends.
Click HERE to purchaseA basic Soldering iron kit. Great for the usual use, but also good for fixing prints, making holes for screws, etc. nice low price, I have this kit, works well.
Click HERE to purchaseI dont personally own THIS one, but I have something like it for holding the hot end block while loosening and tightening nozzles.
Click HERE to purchaseBall ended allens are the key. they allow fast tightening of bolts at a angle. Just make sure that last turn is done with the short end however, or you risk stripping the head of the screw....ask me how I know.
Click HERE to purchaseThin wrenches for tight spots. Printers have plenty. the 10/8 is excellent for pom wheel work.
Click HERE to purchaseSome people like to use these instead of paper, as it either fits or it dont. just don't push down on the bed as you'll get a false reading. Remember the height doesn't matter - uniform spacing does! the height is set by the z offset....
